The HygieneForce brand – the centre of excellence at merlin®

Hygiene and cleanliness have always been synonymous with merlin^®. As a result of continuous further development, a patent application was submitted in 2009 in the field of sterilisation. The growth of our company and thousands of installations on the market led to the creation of our own competence centre under the “HygieneForce” brand. The team around biological and environmental engineer Theresa Häupl, BSc is responsible for the personal support of our customers in all hygiene issues.

With the support of the university and laboratories, hygiene-related requests from our customers are transformed into solutions. Healthy operational safety is the top priority. In-house hygiene training courses are a matter of course for our employees, technicians and partners. In addition, further training courses are offered in cooperation with the VDI (Association of German Engineers).

Equivalence of an adiabatic system according to ÖNORM H6020 in the healthcare sector proven

With consistent development work and the pursuit of high hygiene standards, we have succeeded in bringing ORBIT WING^® adiabatic duct air humidification up to a level comparable to steam humidification in the healthcare sector. This was backed up by expert opinion: “From a hygiene point of view, equivalence with steam humidification as defined by the Austrian standard ÖNORM H6020:2015, Section 6.13.2 can be confirmed.” (Priv.-Doz.
